My friend Erin lives in New York but was stationed in Denver for work for a few months. We hadn’t seen each other in a few years, and the trip from Portland to Denver is a pretty short one, so I made it a priority to visit her in her temporary Denver setup. Her company put her up in a really cute apartment in Cherry Creek, and when I visited for a few days, I wandered around that neighborhood and also escaped into nature.

The rooftop of Erin’s apartment building offered beautiful sunset and sunrise views.

When I first arrived, I worked up a sweat by walking around Erin’s neighborhood - past homes, creeks, and restaurants.

Erin was able to lend me one of her friend’s cars, so I was zoomin’ around in this baby, which I kept mistakenly calling a “Jeep”.

In my cute, borrowed car, I drove myself to the Red Rocks Amphitheater and Denver’s Meow Wolf.

I had dinner with my friend, Yune, who I met around the same time I did Erin while we were all living in Korea. We enjoyed a delicious, bougie meal at one of Erin’s restaurants. ☺️

Erin and I went on a short road trip and hiked for a while - at times in the snow!

One morning, I enjoyed an early walk around Cherry Creek with a hot drink in hand. This Denver trip was a really nice one for me because I had a lovely balance of friend time and Elyse time.
